This study of 7 young adults with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD_ showed normal gastrointestinal motility using a wireless motility capsule (WMC). The study findings are limited by the small sample size and a selection bias of enrolling only patients capable of swallowing a WMC. This study, however, is important as it supports the notion of ‘enteric muscle sparing’ in DMD.
