I didn’t know what this was until last year when I was able to text a picture to one of my dermatology colleagues.

A good picture is in the following reference (though not as severe as the case that I had seen): J Pediatr 2013; 163: 1789.  This disorder occurs due to the chronic application of heat to the skin.
